"One Day...Will Subside" is a project 7 years in the making.

What started out as 5 simple words - "and we wait, we wait" - erupted into one 35-minute piece
featuring 13 musicians from all different genres (from bands like Seneca, Syd, and Absent Society)
and lyrics by author Phoebe Sinclair. The talent of the artists involved allowed me as a
composer and producer to write what I wanted to write and to do what I wanted to do without
limits. There are mellow sections, heavy sections, folk sections, acoustic rock sections,
intricate instrumental sections and ambient sections all within one continuous piece.

This is a project that deals with cycles, repeating patterns that we keep waiting to stop and
despite our best efforts, they never seem to do so. Musically and lyrically these patterns
break at the project's climax, and slowly climb to the finale where the listener has a choice:
end with a soft lullaby or continue to a final release.

Though you can certainly download this piece, the best option to check out the other half
of the project - the stunning visuals designed by Kristy Lynn Rowe with featured work by
photographer Alex Gibson and artist Evan Neely - is to purchase the actual CD.

7 years, 9 cities, 13 musicians, 5 computers, and 3 hard drive crashes later "One Day...Will Subside"
is complete. I am very proud of the hard work that was put into these 35 minutes by many talented
artists, I hope that becomes apparent as you listen.

Thank you,
Barry
